Early Childhood Foundation Stage (ECFS)

The EYFS provides high-quality, flexible education that meets statutory requirements, delivered by sector specialists with in-depth knowledge of early years, childcare, and comprehensive EYFS provision.

The core areas of learning in EYFS include Communication & Language, Physical Development (PD), Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED), Literacy, Numeracy, Understanding the World (UTW), and Expressive Arts & Design (EAD). Throughout the year, teachers and practitioners observe children’s development and monitor their progress within age/stage bands to assess individual needs. Progress is tracked using individual trackers, and outcomes are shared with parents, along with a brief commentary on each child’s skills and abilities in relation to the three key characteristics of effective learning.
