Curriculum

Foundation Stage

At Sharjah Public School, the Foundation Stage (FS1 and FS2) follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework of the British curriculum, designed to provide a joyful and enriching start to a child’s learning journey. Our FS program focuses on learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences in a safe and nurturing environment. We aim to develop key skills in communication, physical development, personal and social growth, early literacy, and numeracy. With caring teachers and a well-structured curriculum, we lay the foundation for lifelong learning by fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence in every child.

Primary Section

At Sharjah Public School, our Primary Section is more than just classrooms and lessons, it’s where young minds begin to discover who they are and what they can become. Through the British curriculum, we create a dynamic and interactive learning environment that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and encourages independent thinking. From foundational literacy and numeracy to inquiry-based science and expressive arts, each child is guided to explore their strengths and passions. With caring teachers and a focus on values, we shape learners who are not only academically strong but also kind, resilient, and ready to lead in a global world.

Secondary Section

In the Secondary Section at Sharjah Public School, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning and develop the skills needed for success in a fast-changing world. Guided by the British curriculum, our program challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively, and grow both academically and personally. With a strong focus on core subjects, leadership, innovation, and global awareness, we prepare learners for IGCSE and beyond. Our supportive environment encourages ambition, resilience, and a sense of purpose—helping every student discover their path and pursue it with confidence.

IGCSE

The secondary school curriculum at TBAC is centered around the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), an internationally recognized external examination program for students aged 14 to 16 (years from year 2 till year 13). This program follows the Cambridge International Curriculum, ensuring a globally recognized standard of education

The IGCSE program at TBAC offers a comprehensive range of subjects, including languages, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, and Vocational courses. Each subject strikes a balance between practical and theoretical knowledge, with a strong emphasis on skill development relevant to the subject area. The curriculum is tailored to allow students to connect learning to their personal experiences and local context. It is designed to be accessible for students of varying abilities and caters to those for whom English is not the first language.

At the end of the IGCSE course, typically in Year 10, students sit for examinations. These assessments are evaluated by experienced external examiners appointed by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), ensuring a fair and standardized evaluation process

IGCSE is globally recognized, preparing students for further studies in Year 11-12. CIE, part of Cambridge, offers qualifications.

AS / AL

Cambridge International A Level is the world’s leading international qualification for 17-18-year-olds, recognized globally for university admission. Typically completed over two years, the flexible curriculum allows students to choose subjects suited to their interests and future goals. A Level results are graded from A to D, with a minimum of two passing grades required for matriculation. Strong A Level grades are a gateway to top universities worldwide, including those in the UK, USA, and Canada, where students may earn university credit for high marks. Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level is the first half of the A Level course, offering students the chance to study a broader subject range before committing to a full A Level, while still qualifying for university entry globally.
